DONATE TO
PROTECT CHILDREN
On 23 January last year, hundreds of thousands of families living in the vulnerable coastal villages of Mozambique were hit by the full force of the deadly Cyclone Eloise. The torrential rains and surging floodwaters swept away their homes, crops and precious livestock.
Natalia and her eight-month-old son, Josias, were at the heart of the deadly storm. They lost everything as the terrifying winds ripped apart their village of Buzi.
Thankfully, Natalia and Josias survived – but as the floods spread, Natalia knew the danger was far from over. The rising water left her and her baby extremely vulnerable to life-threatening diseases like cholera and typhoid.
No one can stop a deadly cyclone in its tracks, but we can help prevent the suffering that disasters like this leave in their wake. With your help, we can be there straight away, to ensure children like Josias have the emergency healthcare, shelter and water and hygiene supplies they need to stay alive.
UNICEF protect children around the world before, during and after an emergency – but we need your support to ensure we’re always prepared. Will you send a gift today to help us be there before the worst happens?
Your gift will go to the Children’s Emergency Fund to help protect children around the world at times of crisis.
